There is no registration deadline when you appear in-person at the DC Board of
Elections' office. However, if you would like to cast a regular ballot in an
election, you must register before the early voting period begins for that election.
If you register to vote by mail, your application to register to vote must be
postmarked at least 30 days before Election Day.
Note: Same day registration is also available on Election Day, November 6, 2012.

Return your absentee ballot
Your absentee ballot must be postmarked by Election Day and received within 10 days of
the election.
